Costa Rica News – Unfortunately, Crisley Martínez Rodríguez tragically lost her life at the hand of the 56-year-old man who had initiated a relationship with her five years ago when she was just 14-years-old.
This crime was committed Sunday night after the man, the traffic chief of San Carlos, invited the girl and her father over for dinner and an argument started.
It is said to be based on jealousy from messages he saw on her phone.
The young girl had previously refused to testify against the man, when PANI was notified of the relationship and the Prosecutor’s Office opened a case for a complaint of sexual intercourse with a minor.
New legislation punished adults who have relationships with minors with two to three years in jail when the minor is between 15 and 17 and the offender is seven or more years older.
