Costa Rica Business News – The 54th board of governors of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) is going to be conducted from April 24th to 25th in Costa Rica.
Economic authorities from the thirteen country members will meet in order to decide on measures to generate financing, the organization mentioned in a statement.
CABEI is the principal source of multilateral capital for development in Central America.
During the once a year conference ministers of finance, economy, central banks, come together in order to examine the requirements of the region and exactly how CABEI can contribute to the area.
The conference is closed to the public, but preceded by a session that is not private. This portion will be headed by the current president of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla.
“The fight against extreme poverty is an ongoing work and BCIE funded projects promote job creation and improved living conditions for communities in Central America, especially for those who are most vulnerable,” said the bank president, Nick Rischbieth.
Among the various other subjects they will discuss include development in public services, enhancing financial investment in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, women entrepreneurs and social impact in the region.
