Costa Rica News – 464 employers have been asked about their plans to hire more staff. In the second quarter of the year the figure was 25% of employers who planned to hire and it has since increased to 32%.
The four opinion surveys considered were conducted among private organizations and the academic sector.
One survey in the business sector showed that 15% of 758 employers will increase their payroll in 2016.
The rise in employment and pay expectations has to do with a bettered perception of the economy among businessmen in the last few months. There has been a six month consecutive acceleration of the monthly economic activity index as well as low inflation.
The gross domestic product estimated for 2016 is at 4%. The growth in the commercial sector in 2015 beat expectations and is expected to maintain its success next year.
Trade is expected to open 10,000 positions in 2016.
The agricultural sector has the lowest procurement expectations.
