Costa Rica News & Events – IDPA Costa Rica is getting ready for their 2014 Costa Rican National Championship, slated for April. The match officials are preparing for U.S. competitors and certified Safety Officers. Shooters from 10 countries are going to compete.
“We see the Costa Rican Nationals becoming one of the key international championships on the annual IDPA schedule,” said Match Director Rodrigo Carvajal. Many of the competitors will have already shot major matches and are familiar with the top SOs in America. Reaching out to them will make the 2014 championship a top event of this IDPA season.
Any IDPA Safety Officer wanting to compete or officiate can contact Director Rodrigo Carvajal at [email protected] for the registration details. Online registration will end on March 11. The championship will occur April 10-12 in San Jose, at Rancho Arizona.
It will draw shooters from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, and Austria.
There will be 12 stages, shot in a one-day format, with a round count of 165 rounds.
Shooters interested in more information can visit IDPACostaRica.com or visit the IDPA Facebook page. IDPA has over 23,000 members competing each week.
