Costa Rica News – For all of you that are planning on heading to one of the biggest parties in Costa Rica this month you might want to bring some smokeless tobacco or smokeless cigarettes for your nicotine cravings. The festival grounds of Palmares will be smoke free. That is, no one can smoke not even even near the megabars that will be there for the festivities, which begin on Thursday January 10th and end on Monday the 21st.
The announcement was made Thursday morning members Palmareña Civic Association (PCA) , organizer of the festivities. It will be mandatory to comply to this, and compliance will be monitored by the ACP, the Ministry of Health and local municipality.
For now they will not impose fines on those caught smoking inside the fairground. Rather it is expected to encourage smokers to quit. Guess what Costa Rica if you do not fine them they are going to do it! Use your brain please.
The planned activities on on the fair grounds will be monitored by 250 private security personnel and officers of the security forces and 16 security cameras installed at strategic points. There will also be a strong presence of traffic officers, in order to assist with vehicular flow around the festivities.
There will be many special activities during the festival including a car show and cycling.
Also there will be man concerts including Maribel Guardia and Joan Sebastian , who will be joined by his son, Julian , who will accompany both musicians on stage.
