Costa Rica News – After an intense battle between the 10 candidates for Miss Costa Rica, the contest ended Saturdya night with Fabianna Granados taking the crown.
She will be the representative of Costa Rica for the Miss Universe pageant that will be hosted in November.
Granados, 23, is studying business management and industrial engineering. Her height is 1.73 meters and her measurements are 90-60-90.
First runner up was Meribeth Duran and Alba Zuniga was second runner up.
The event, which began at 8 pm in the auditorium Marco Picado, had a lot of emotion as the candidates were slowly narrowed down before choosing the crown winner.
As I watched this contest and seeing the different steps that were taken to get this final winner. I had to ask my question what exactly is the point of this ridiculous competition?
Look I am a guy and there is nothing more gorgeous than the female body, but what does this give anything back to females around the world?
During the interview questions the contestants showed that they lack intelligence. The photos in the rock quarry were not very appealing. And in the end what does winning this competition really mean? Is Miss Costa Rica or Miss USA really necessary?
I wish these women the best but this pageants trying to display female beauty and intelligence are degrading and no longer have any value.
