The Traffic Police on Monday arrested 17 undocumented aliens in Guápiles being carried on a truck. It was an operation that took place around 5 pm in El Prado Pococí, Limón. Traffic Officer Artavia Hermes explained that the capture occurred during a routine road.
Officers found four children between the group of outsiders who were put in the order of the National Foundation for Children (PANI).
“We saw a two truckloads of plastic boxes. In making the stop sign, drivers did not stop. After following the vehicle, one of them entered a property where the occupants and the driver escaped from pastures, “he said Artavia.
By registering the truck, authorities found carrying clothing, food and kitchens.
Meanwhile, in the second truck 17 people found the Nicaraguan nationals who were not carrying documents.
Depending on the version of foreigners, they entered the country by the river San Juan in Los Angeles from San Carlos, and headed Rita working on a farm in the planting of cassava and yam.
Others of them said they already had one year of being in the country working.
Foreigners and trucks were brought to the delegation of the Forces in Guápiles, Pococí. The Immigration Department said that foreigners were free and were cited to appear in San Jose.
The truck driver was arrested, while being investigated for alleged coyote.
