Costa Rica Entertainment – 14 women aspire to earn the crown of Mrs. Costa Rica. The contestants come from all over the country and are mostly professionals, aged 26-51. They were presented October 4th.
The organization held a casting on September 2 which was open to all Costa Rican who are married, have a valid passport, and are between the ages of 25 and 52. The final of Mrs. Costa Rica 2017 will be held on Monday, November 6th at 7pm.

The winner will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa, in December, to Mrs. World.
The Mrs. Costa Rica director, Marisol Soto, stressed that this is much more than a beauty contest. It is a charitable activity that raises funds annually for the Pro Palliative Care Unit Foundation, which serves 18,000 children and youth with terminal diseases. Each year, there is a child symbol of the contest.
This year, it is Amanda Vargas, 13, who has congenital heart disease, scoliosis and severe myopia.
Prior to the activity, and in response to the current emergency situation, this Saturday from 10am to 2pm the candidates will be collecting basic articles of personal hygiene and nonperishable food, water, clothing and shoes in good condition for the victims.
Donations are being received at the Lindora Sport Center in Santa Ana.
