Parque de aventuras Discovery, or Discovery Costa Rica, is about to invest a billion dollars in Costa Rica.
Sun Latin America will be in charge of the infrastructure, which will be completed in 2020.
The complex is to include activities such as scuba diving, hiking and views of beaches and volcanoes. It will focus on biodiversity and conservation. This integrated resort will be developed in Liberia, Guanacaste, in the North Pacific.
Discovery Communications Inc. is a US company. Details of the financial arrangement have not been made public.
President Luis Guillermo Solis informed us through his Facebook account that the project is “one of the largest investments of the last 10 years.”
The information released includes the fact that the development will be on a plot of 810 hectares.
Discovery Costa Rica will have a water park and Discovery brand hotels and restaurants.
