Costa Rica Travel News – Thomson Airways will be the only airline offering a direct flight from Europe to Costa Rica when it adds the destination to its winter 2015 program.Thomson UK managing director David Burling said visitors wanting to visit the destination have previously most often traveled via Miami.
But as the country, which is famous for its wildlife, rainforests and active volcanoes, appears in the operator’s program, so the direct flights are being offered on 787 Dreamliners.
There are currently seven properties available in the destination, including the all-inclusive 5T Riu Palace at Playa Matapalo, although more are expected to be added as negotiations with hoteliers come to a close.
The operator will also be offering four and seven-night tours with the longer one taking in both the Pacific and Caribbean coastlines as well as the national park of Rincon de la Vieja.
