La Amistad bridge

After three months of dedicated work and in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the annexation of Nicoya, the government has officially reopened the La Amistad Bridge over the Tempisque River.

This was not your everyday bump; the collision left the dock licking its wounds, prompting an urgent reassessment of infrastructure and travel plans alike.
