Meeting the Needs of Modern Tourists
Addressing the ever-evolving needs of tourists in Costa Rica, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) has proudly launched digital versions of 45 refreshed brochures under their Tourist Service Department banner.
Access to Comprehensive Content
Beginning in September, both local and international tourists can immerse themselves in a wealth of information, now available in both English and Spanish. These brochures encompass a variety of topics ranging from agrotourism adventures to bird spotting, crocodile observations, bus schedules, and much more.
A Much-Needed Update
The initiation of this revamp was spurred by the realization that the last major update was in 2019, pre-pandemic. Now, the ICT’s Tourist Service offers these updated materials for free download on their official website, ensuring easy access to genuine, non-commercialized content for travelers.
Víctor Ramírez, the head of ICT’s Tourist Service, notes, “This isn’t about sales; it’s about aiding tourists with reliable resources. These were revamped based on direct user feedback, catering to both domestic and international tourists.”
In-depth Research and New Additions
Beginning in January, an intensive review process was undertaken. This involved meticulous research and on-ground site visits. A notable addition is the guide focusing on whale and manta ray spotting, addressing its escalating popularity.
While the main focus remains on the digital medium, there are limited print versions in alignment with ICT’s environmental sustainability goals. These will be available at the ICT’s primary desk in La Uruca and certain regional offices.
What’s Inside the Brochures?
These guides are a treasure trove of information, shedding light on cultural activities, nature observations, National Parks, swimming tips, and even intricate bus routes. From comprehensive guides on immersive coffee tours and enlightening historical walks to specialized insights into pre-Columbian spheres and museums, tourists are in for a treat.
Further enriching the experience, travelers can dive deep into the details about Costa Rica’s illustrious national parks. Those keen on beach adventures will find the safety guidelines, exhaustive manuals, and safety passports invaluable. The upcoming release of a detailed map of Costa Rica will only add to the convenience.
