Journalist Gerardo Zamora has faced recurrent tumors and surgeries over the last few years. Although he is currently recovering in ICU, he shows an incredibly positive attitude and his recovery is going so well that he’ll be home in time for the holidays.
In this, his eighth surgery, they had to remove two more tumors, one that was near where his right eye had been removed and the other on his forehead. One had grown so big he couldn’t wear his glasses. They also gave him incredible headaches.
He woke up from surgery in good spirits, raving about how good the jello and pinto with eggs were. He’s known as a very grateful person. His family is very united and full of faith, hope, and optimism.
The surgery was on Wednesday and already he is eating well and commenting that he’s not in pain. He appreciates the support of his wife and children and is looking forward to spending Christmas and New Year’s with them.
