Leonora Jiménez published a video on her social media networks, after months of silence on them. In the video, she announced that she ended the year “single, alone, and with covid-19.”
The Costa Rican model, businesswoman, cyclist, and fashion designer explained that she hasn’t been able to smell or taste food for several days and has a bit of difficulty breathing. She feels tired and like she has the flu but is thankful that she is not as sick as many others with covid. She doesn’t know how she contracted the virus, as she saw very few people and even cancelled seeing family at Christmas. Those she’s been in contact with don’t have covid.
She has had quite a year, with both her health and businesses affected. She also had to stop riding her bicycle, which was her passion. She sold her bikes to pay debts from the effects of covid-19 on her businesses. She has been fighting chronic fatigue and a hormonal disorder even before covid. She also went through a divorce. What a year!
She spoke out about the hardships in order to share how she is rebuilding herself and inspire others who are also in hardships to do the same and have hope.
