Costa Rica News – One of Costa Rica’s private hospitals is no longer considered a hospital that is up to the international standards required for international accreditation.
La Católica lost international accreditation that is granted by the Joint Commission International, based in the United States, which supports quality standards and hospital processes, as stated this afternoon in El Financiero.
Credit to La Católica is not on the website of that organization, which only had Cima Hospital and Clinica Biblica.
El Financiero clarifies that they failed this Costa Rican hospital, although he tried to locate the medical director Victor Perez, they could not get specific details.
The accreditation was suspended since October 16th, allegedly after an inspection of the Joint Commission International
These accreditations are relevant within the national strategy to attract medical tourism.
