There was a case of covid-19 in a call center forcing the CCSS to remove all personnel from the building. The general manager decided to send all the officials to work from home while they disinfect the building.
Measures for the following days at the tower in the Don Bosco will be decided upon soon. The situation was confirmed in a document to staff. The staff that works there include the General, Administrative, Financial, Medical, Infrastructure and Technology, and Logistics managers.
The case detected was on the 11th floor of Tower C of the International Corporate Center, the newest headquarters for the Board of Directors of the Fund, as of February 28. The infected person worked for a call center of a private company in the same building.
The CCSS has been carrying out movements and reinforcements to protect the public and workers from eventual earthquakes and fires. The central building was not safe and will be structurally strengthened over three years. The cost of the work and moving almost 1,000 officials to temporary facilities is over $56 million.
