Costa Rica News – A 26-year-old young man with a neurological disorder is the suspect for threatening a US ambassador.
The OIJ arrested him and another male found in his home, behind his family’s home, in a raid of the two houses on Thursday morning in San Juan de La Union, Cartago.
The bailiffs seized computers and phones as evidence for the investigation of the case involving a threat to kill the US ambassador to Costa Rica, Sharon Day, and her family, which was emailed to the FBI on September 7.
The FBI determined that the IP address it came from was in Costa Rica so it communicated with the OIJ.
The main subject is the young man with autism. He will be seen by a psychiatrist before continuing the process.
