This would allow harvesting 1,000 lettuces per month in just 100 square meters. It can be done on the roofs of buildings. It uses less water and pesticides and is of better quality due to the rich nutrients. It is a way to face the risk of climate change.
This technique is highly developed in Mexico where there are many buildings with spaces available for this type of cultivation. Trials and trainings are currently going on in Costa Rica.
