Costa Rica News – The producer of “7 stars” drowned in Bahía Ballena beach while saving his family on Saturday. His wife and two children were carried out by a wave and he ran to save them. They got out but he lost his life.
Other vacationers managed to get to him and bring his body out of the water. The Red Cross was called at 10:06 am and when the paramedics arrived on the scene they confirmed the death.
The man, Carlos Alfonso Reyes Gutiérrez, 43, was a Colombian national. He worked in post-production and then as producer of the Teletica show. He is remembered as an incredible friend with great love and pride for his family, hardworking and loyal.
Others also recently lost their lives in water accidents in Costa Rica. One was dragged by a current in Manuel Antonio beach and the other was in a taxi that fell into the La Casona River.
