Costa Rica News – Two entrepreneurs from Cartago have created a conductive adhesive tape that has the potential to replace electrical cables throughout the country and even the world. This product, Cinta Seelk, disintegrates when a short circuit or overload is detected, preventing the passage of current, damage to electrical appliances and fires.
The masterminds are Sebastian Alba, 21, and Erick Arrieta, 22. Both are engineering students.
The creators’ ingenuity and concern for safety led to seeking an alternative to traditional cables for electricity which tend to overheat, malfunction, spark, etc.
With consistent effort and work, they came up with a product that is not only safer but more practical. It can be folded and manipulated without breaking or losing its properties. Additionally, it is made of environmentally friendly compounds.
The pair plan to make various designs so that the product can go unnoticed on walls and surfaces. They’ve discovered that no one else has made anything similar worldwide and have patented their invention. They will likely create an international company.
