Costa Rica News – The National Theater is going through a series of improvements.
Modern light and acoustic systems, as well as soundproofing, will soon improve the experience had at this special place.
The architectural intervention carries a cost of $ 31.3 million. It will result in a better experience for visitors. Some of the improvements will better the concerts while other benefit the theatrical presentations.
A new acoustic shell will improve the sound during concerts. The old wooden section will be left but a stronger, metallic one added.
Aside from hearing the talent much clearer, we will no longer be bothered by sounds of demonstrators rallying on second avenue, thanks to soundproofing the building.
The current lights will be replaced by led technology, which will save ¢6 million per year in electricity bills and make the theatrical presentations better.
