Costa Rica News – Costa Rican Arturo Izquierdo Acuña left for the States a couple months ago to seek a professional boxing opportunity.
He’s training to fight on August 26th. He trains in Vegas with champion Floyd Mayweather.
This opportunity is one Izquierdo never dreamed he’d get.
He can’t believe he is going to be one of Mayweather’s sparring partners for the highly talked about bout to be held against UFC champ Conor McGregor.
This fight is assumed to be the fight of the year. Many millions of dollars will be moved on that day.
It is unbelievable that Izquierdo will take part due to a twist of fate. He arrived in the US without knowing anyone and just showed up at Mayweather’s gym.
Since then, he’s proved himself. It’s been a tiring experience but he says he’s learning more than ever, practicing with the best boxers in the world.
Izquierdo became national champion at age 17 and has participated in the Central American Games. His professional career began at age 19 and he has had four fights.
