Costa Rica Surfing – (Surf Report May 12th & 13th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have Costa Rica surf pics. There are going to be some fun with occasional overhead set rolling on the Pacific side & and smaller sets on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: Fun size S/SSW swell builds through the day on Thursday and holds for Friday. Surf heights during this time frame should be in the shoulder high to a couple feet overhead range with standouts seeing well overhead sets.
WEATHER/WIND: Generally calm to light/variable wind in the mornings (locally weak offshore), with a light to moderate sea breeze developing by the later morning and holding for the afternoon. Thunderstorms possible in the afternoon/evening hours.
Friday 05/12 – 4-6ft – shoulder high to 1 ft overhead occ. 7ft – Fun S/SSW swell tops out. Possible W swell from Adrian mixes in.
Saturday 05/13 – 4-6ft – shoulder high to 1 ft overhead occ. 7ft – S/SSW swell holds. Possible W swell from Adrian mixes in.

Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast falling slightly during the early part of next week. Light and variable west-southwest winds later and switching to the northwest.
Friday 05/12 – 2-3ft – Ankle to waist – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west-northwest winds, winds dropping rapidly later and switching to the north-northeast.
Saturday 05/13 – 1-2ft – Ankle to knee – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light west-northwest winds with a slight chop, winds dropping rapidly later.
