Costa Rica News – Costa Rica’s volcanoes have been quite active in recent months. Tuesday was another eruption for the Poas volcano right outside of San Jose.
The Poas volcano, northwest of San Jose, on Tuesday (August 16, 2016), at 2:09pm local time, erupte with a column of gas that rose to a height of 100 metres above the crater (2,808 metres – 9210.24 ft – above sea level).
The activity lasted 2 minutes.
