Costa Rica News – There are five construction companies that are interested in working on the National Congress and Convention Center (CNCC).
Their portfolios include work on the highway to Caldera, the National Bank, the Costa Rican Electricity Institute, the Bank of Costa Rica and the Torres Colón.
The work should be awarded between 30 and 90 days after the bid opens, according to the Minister of Tourism. It will be awarded by the owner of the building, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT). Each of the firms have been pre-qualified via a prior process.
The ICT already has the municipal permits and an agreement with the Public Service Company of Heredia. The structural, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and treatment plant plans are ready and will be presented directly to the company that wins the tender.
The price and delivery time proposed by each company will be analyzed. The leveling of the land should start by July so that the CNCC can open in late 2017 as a way to promote Costa Rica worldwide as a tourist region. (Photo from ICT)
