Costa Rica Travel News – Air Costa Rica is going to start flying this year after receiving its operating license by the Civil Aviation Technical Council.
The company will start by offering charter flights through travel agencies.
The next step would be to complete the paperwork and process to operate in other countries nearby and offer international flights. This is a Costa Rican company, the only Costa Rica based airline operating in Juan Santamaria.
They plan to connect to Miami, Bogota, Lima and Guayaquil with direct routes.
The longer term plan includes destinations like Los Angeles, New York and South American cities as well.
The operation already has 31 trained employees and plans to incorporate 100 national staff. The company has a policy to hire only Costa Rican staff.
The local flag will be displayed on its Boeing 737s and Fokker 100s.
