Well Costa Rica I know that you might not have been able to see much of the Olympics due to the fact Amnet did not pay CBS to in order to broadcast it in the country but you will be able to catch a glimpse of Michael Phelps on reality TV. Michael Phelps is leaving swimming behind for a reality TV show.
The most decorated Olympian of all-time has joined “The Haney Project,” Golf Channel reports. The show, which has host Hank Haney improve amateur golfers’ game, will take on Phelps when it returns in 2012 with Season 5.
Production on “The Haney Project” Season 5 begins in September and Phelps, who’s won 22 Olympic medals, is excited to be a part of it.
“As I enter this next chapter of my life, I think I will be able to shift my competitiveness to anything I put my mind to and golf is one of the things I want to focus on,” Phelps said in a statement. “I want to play all the world’s great golf courses, but I’d like to play them well. I’m excited about this project with Golf Channel and I’m looking forward to working with Hank and see what we can do together on the golf course.”
“The Haney Project” Season 5 will follow Phelps on his quest to play better golf. The show will also tell stories of the Olympian through cameos from famous friends and other experts, like his mother, Debbie Phelps, and his longtime swim coach Bob Bowman.
Haney’s previous celebrity students range from Charles Barkley to Ray Romano to Adam Levine.
