Costa Rica Entertainment – Costa Rica has great relations with Japan and it has for 80 years.
In honor of this huge anniversary, the Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan are preparing a very special event.
They will bring us all a presentation of shadow theater that will be performed by artists from a Japanese company known as Kageboushi. What a nice way to celebrate the diplomatic relations.
It will be held on July 28th at 7 pm at the Eugene O’Neill Theater located in San Pedro. For those unfamiliar with shadow theater, it is a show created with dolls and figures casting shadows on a screen.
The modern take also includes special lighting and multimedia effects.
The presentations share traditional Japanese stories and fairy tales. Admission to the show is free and is open to as many people as the theater can hold.
