Costa Rica Entertainment News – For all of those “Game of Thrones” addicts out there, you might want to be heading to Costa Rica after the 4th of July.
Game of Thrones’ “The Mountain” will visit Costa Rica in mid-July, from the 18th-19th at the National stadium. Actor Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, better known as “Thor,” will make a special appearance, as will surprise guests.
Bjornsson is one of the world’s strongest men. He was a professional basketball player in Iceland before accepting the role. Many will attend the event just to get the chance to meet him and maybe get an autograph.
The festival is going to be a huge highlight of the year for those into TV shows, movies, anime and the like. The Kamen Festival 2015 is all about otaku culture. Guests will meet with characters from cartoons, film, TV and anime.
Over 200 participants are expected to dress as figures. There will be cosplay contests, concerts, art expos, sales, and talks with experts. Tickets are available on the days of the event. Prices are ¢5000 for general admission and ¢3000 for cosplayers. Kids under 12, seniors, and those with special needs enter free.
