Costa Rica News – Scott Disick has decided to end his treatment at a luxury rehabilitation center five days after entering the facility on Monday.
Instead, the 31-year-old partner of Kourtney Kardashian is leaving Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica to return to Los Angeles for business commitments, TMZ reports.
The father of three is said to have already arranged a flight to return to LA on Saturday, but will remain until Monday so that he can complete a full week of therapy, according to the website.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star entered rehab for specialized treatment and healing with the African psychedelic shrub Iboga, which is banned in the U.S.
A source revealed to TMZ that he has ‘too much business in LA to deal with’ that conflicts with therapy at the center located in tropical Guanacaste.
The reality star sought treatment after it was revealed that he was found with no shoes on and drunk stumbling around his hotel lobby on Sunday morning after a paid appearance at an Atlantic City club.
A night earlier he enjoyed a tequila-fueled bender, TMZ reported.
In a statement released by the E! fixture last week, he addressed why he selected the facility.
‘While I have been unconvinced in the past of treatment and therapy methods, Rythmia’s rehab approach puts my worries at ease,’ he said.
‘The fact that there is a money back guarantee that has never been called upon gives me even more confidence. I am looking forward to starting my therapy and iboga treatment there.’
The controversial drug Ibogaine is made from the psychedelic African rainforest shrub iboga, and is believed to cause hallucinations similar to LSD. It is banned in the U.S.
The center offers ‘shaman-supervised flights’ while patients are taking the drug.
According to the rehab facility, the plant is used ‘to treat a variety of addictions and has been an effective form of treatment.’
A normal stay is 21 days long and will cost around $1,000 a day, Entertainment Tonight reports.
However, a one-week stay is also a part of its rehabilitation program.
The rehab center is located close to the beach and boasts spa treatments, a fitness center, gourmet food and private rooms for patients.
Previously Scott entered a rehabilitation facility following hospitalization for alcohol poisoning – which was chronicled on Kourtney And Khloe Take The Hamptons.
The nightclub host’s trouble with alcohol has been followed on E! as his partner of more than eight years, Kourtney Kardashian, supported him.
Together, they have Mason, five, Penelope, three and three-month-old Reign.
