Costa Rica Entertainment – Anyone who was in San Jose seven or eight years ago is well aware of the national group Batuque Congo.
They have been absent in recent years but have not been forgotten. And now they’re back.
Tuesday this duo made up of Fabio Avelino and Francesco Bracci will play at 9pm at the Jazz Café in Escazú. Then on Wednesday they will be featured at Mundoloco El Chante in San Pedro.
This group is best known for their signature mix of Brazilian native rhythms with electronic music.
They will bring back some old favorites as well as share what they’ve come up with recently.
They say the shows will depend on the chemistry of the public. Two guest musicians, Walter Briceño and Sandro Texeira, will join them.
The tickets will cost ¢3,000 and can be purchased at the door or at the Brazilian Cultural Center.
