Costa Rica News – Dell stores in Multiplaza, in Curridabat, and Plaza Lincoln, in Moravia, were closed on Friday due to tax issues.
The signs in the windows indicated that the Ministry of Finance closed them for tax irregularities.
The management also left signs saying that the branches will be reopened by February 25th because the penalty is five business days.
The CEO of the company that owns the shops said they are investigating the reason behind what happened.
He also commented that they are doing everything possible to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Six employees work in the stores and the management regrets the inconvenience to them and customers.
The details are unknown and affect only those two branches. It could have to do with a failure to either deliver invoices or to pay sales tax.
The CEO confirmed they have always been respectful of tax processes.
