Costa Rica Travel News – One of the places we stayed at recently was in Cariari, Heredia, just moments away from Costa Rica’s main airport (3 miles away), the Real Cariari Mall and the well known Cariari Golf Course & Country Club. The Cariari B&B is a spanish style home that was completely renovated by the owner, Laurie. She has conserved some of the original details and created a level of cozy comfort and convenience.
During your stay, you may choose between the Royal, Honeymoon or Friendly Suites. Each one has a private bath and you may have a full tub, private balcony or private entrance to the deck if you so choose. All of the rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. They have water heated by solar panels, free WIFI and access to a beautiful patio with furniture to work or relax and space to practice yoga or enjoy bird watching. It is surrounded by a lovely garden and fruit trees.
The prices range from $80-$100 and there is a low season discount of 20%. Another discount is that if you stay for 7 nights, you pay for just 6. A fabulous breakfast is included in the room rate. It includes gallo pinto, fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs any style, assorted breads and meats, coffee or tea and much more. Free calls to the US and Canada are included, and laundry facilities are available.
Laurie, the hostess, will become a friend immediately. “The welcome is as warm, as the beer is cold,” said one guest. Laurie goes well out of her way to make everyone feel at home. During our stay I saw that she even helped guests contact the embassy and other organizations who might be able to help them with a problem they had experienced. She can also help you arrange tours, transportation and medical/dental care. If you are a golf or tennis player, you are welcome as Laurie’s guest at the prestigious Cariari Country Club.
This place stands out for the hospitality, Miriam’s famous breakfast, that they offer golf packages and that they are pet friendly.
