Costa Rica News & Events – When I check Facebook in the morning, there is usually a barrage of articles and pages being shared offering “the solution” to a younger, healthier body, a renewed state of mind…youth. Every year, there’s a new fad diet or exercise regime that will offer amazing results (according to the before and after pictures they show). I’m always a little skeptical of these new fads. We need to go to back to the basics.
There are small changes we can make in our lives that can lead to rejuvenation and improved sense of well-beings. Methods that are tried and true. One of these methods is the 5 Tibetan Rites. The 5 Tibetan Rites is a 5,000 year old set of asanas practiced by Tibetan monks to promote longevity, radiant health and balanced chakras.
In 1985, “The Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth” was published by Peter Kelder. It describes ancient yogic exercises practiced by Tibetan monks that result in “youthing”. A sequel was also published to expound upon the function and benefits of the 5 Rites. The author claims that some of the benefits from this daily exercise program are “looking much younger; sleeping soundly; waking up feeling refreshed and energetic; release from serious medical problems including difficulties with spines; relief from problems with joints; release from pain; better memory; arthritis relief; weight loss; improved vision; youthing instead of aging; greatly improved physical strength, endurance and vigor; improved emotional and mental health; enhanced sense of well-being and harmony; and very high overall energy”. 1
The 5 Tibetans are 5 yogic exercises repeated 21 times. If you repeat these exercises every morning, you may just find the illustrious “Fountain of Youth”. The exercises stimulate your endocrine system that is responsible for the aging process and basic human functions. By stimulating the endocrine system, the exercise program is also activating and aligning the 7 major chakras which correspond to glands in the endocrine system. With a balanced endocrine system and aligned chakras, Prana or Chi, essential life energy, can more effectively flow throughout your body calming your mind, healing your body, balancing your emotions and reverse aging.
