Costa Rica News & Events – Costa Rica is a cultural circuit, the very epicenter of Latin American music. Until the 12th of April, there will be a festival called Epicentro, in addition to FIA events, open to share this art for free or a low cost. Festivalepicentro.com has the latest schedule.
The goal of Festival Epicentro is to provide contacts for those interested in pursuing music as musicians, promoters, managers, or producers. Experts who will give their advice at the event include Andres Sanchez, who directed the Vive Latino Festival in Mexico, and Jose Manuel de la Barra, who holds the Chile Lollapalooza Festival.
The talks are all free and anyone interested can register on the website. Other speakers include Camilo Lara, a member of the Mexican Institute of Sound, Diego Delfino, from 89decibeles.com, and representatives from Remix.
There will also be live concerts and photo expos of images of live music, as performed by Pablo Murill and Juan and Julio Pineda Caliva. This event will partner with FIA for their closing concert, featuring 424, Astro, and Vicentico. The concert costs $10.
