Costa Rica Picture of the Day – Each day the Costa Rican Times will be including a picture from around Costa Rica to see the natural beauty and amazing things that we get to see each day in the land of the Pura Vida.
Costa Rica is well known for its gorgeous flora and fauna and this is one of the reasons people keeping hopping flights to come to the country.
One of the species that are seen day in and out within the borders of the land of “Pura Vida” are the butterflies.
Costa Rica’s butterfly species make up approximately 90% of all Central American butterflies, 66% of neo-tropical butterflies and 18% of the world’s total butterfly species.
You can see these in the wild in pretty much every area of Costa Rica as various species of butterfly occupy different areas. You can also see them on the many butterfly farms that attract tourists on a daily basis.
