Costa Rica News – (Surf Report December 20th and December 21st) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and add in some pictures of beautiful surf girls in bikinis. This weekend is a little small on the Pacific side but on the Caribbean side there is up to 1 meter overhead waves. Great waves to be caught on both coasts of Costa Rica as always though. North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: Fading SSW swell for waist-shoulder high surf at exposed spots, largest early.
WEATHER/WIND: For most areas, expect light/variable to locally light offshore wind in the mornings, with an onshore SW-WSW seabreeze gradually developing over the late morning hours and becoming moderate into the afternoon. Rising easterly flow due on Wednesday into Thursday. Skies will be partly cloudy/sunny for most locations as well. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 12/20 – 0.9-1.2m – waist to chest high – SSW swell eases, largest early
Saturday 12/21– 0.6-0.9m – knee to waist high – Fading SSW swell

Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the next few days. Light and variable north winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the east-northeast. Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast falling slightly during the early part of next week. Breezy east-northeast winds, whitecapping conditions with moderate choppy seas.
Friday 12/20 – 2.1-2.4m – Head high to 1m overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable east-northeast winds with smooth seas, increasing rapidly later.
Saturday 12/21– 2.4-2.8m – 1m overhead to double overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west-southwest winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the east-northeast.
