A dengue outbreak is sweeping the Sarapiquí canton, where the number of infected people has gone from 50 to 138 in four weeks. In this group, seven patients are currently hospitalized at the Hospital San Vicente de Paul Heredia.
This was announced by Head of the Department of Health of the canton, Emilio Araya, who explained that the most affected districts are Christ the King, and The Guaria Chilamate.
