Costa Rica Real Estate News – I do not think the estate comes with foot in mouth disease but the luxurious estate of Mel Gibson has now come onto the market.
But is you want something a bit more off-the-beaten-path and privately secluded? Mel Gibson would love to have a chat with you.
The 57-year-old is selling his Costa Rican hideaway, Playa Barrigona, located in a remote region along the country’s northern Pacific coast. For the asking price of $29.75 million, you’ll score 500 acres of pristine jungle forest, a private, expansive beach, and three homes nestled on a hilltop overlooking the ocean. The largest of the villas, Casa Guanacaste, includes seven bedrooms and eight baths. From the listing:
“Custom-fitted with native Costa Rican woods and Spanish and Italian tiles, each villa claims a generous layout, including a living room with vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen, and multiple verandahs looking out over stunning jungle and ocean vistas. A private pool, full air conditioning, and barbecue areas complete the amenities at each residence.”
Gibson purchased the property back in 2007 for $24 million, having fallen in love with the country while shooting the film “Apocalypto.” Check out more pictures of the property below.
